When you hear the word, "Dream" you might think of something that takes place at night. Most would.
There is a different type of dream. This other version of dreaming actually keeps you awake at night and can motivate you to work harder and longer than you otherwise might have.
To some people, these dreams cause excitement and happiness. For other people, they cause hurt and extreme emotional anguish. What then causes so much variation of emotion?
Excitement usually happens during the creation of a dream. It causes deep joy and motivation for a better life.
The hurt and pain is caused by the memory of past failures or let-downs as people see the dreams that they wanted or fought for seem to stay out of reach.
How do we keep our dreams alive and energizing instead of debilitating? What we need to do is to learn to let this motivate us to action. Not just a blind charge of energy into the dark but a thought-out pattern. Here are some ideas.
· First decide what you want. Visualize it. Think of what you would be willing to give up for it such as luxury, sleep or easy time.
· Set goals. Not just, "I'll be rich next year", but, "I'll have this much money by this time and this is how I'll do it step 1,2,3,4-..."
· Set a firm resolve to do it no matter what happens. Set a resolve so firm that nothing will stop you even when the emotion of making this decision has past.
· Do it.
"Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream by night."
